Weight loss: Try these three Indian dals to lose weight

Are you tired of trying expensive methods of losing weight? If yes, then this article is a must-read for you.

Adding some simple dals (pulses) to your daily diet will not just help you to lose weight but also provide you with various essential nutrients.

Here is a list of three Indian dals that can help you lose weight naturally:

2/4

Moong dal

Moong dal, also called split yellow bean in English, is one of the most often cooked dals in the Indian kitchen. The best benefit of having moong dal is that it facilitates weight loss. Moong dal is packed with fibre and protein, which keeps you satiated for a longer duration and stops you from binge eating. At the same time, this dal is light and easy to digest.

3/4

Masoor dal

Masoor dal has the perfect amount of carbohydrates and low-fat content. The dal is again high in fibre, which slows down the digestion process, aiding weight loss. A cup of masoor dal in a meal provides you with all essential vitamins, protein and other nutrients. A 100 gram serving of masoor dal has 352 calories and 24.63 grams protein, which is 44 per cent of the recommended daily value of protein.

4/4

Kulthi ki dal

Also known as horse gram in English, kulthi dal accelerates weight loss and helps fill the gap of all the essential nutrients that our body requires. If you are a vegetarian or vegan, kulthi ki dal is one of the best sources of protein that you can include in your diet. This dal is loaded with vitamins, fibre, minerals and at the same time is low in calories, which makes it an amazing weight loss option.
