7 yoga asanas to transform yourself

In today's fast-paced world, achieving glowing skin, fit body and a good overall health is a common desire for many. While external products and treatments can help, incorporating yoga into your routine can also contribute to achieving that coveted radiance. Yoga not only promotes physical health but also enhances mental well-being, which can reflect positively on your skin. Here are some yoga poses that can help you transform yourself in 15 days:

2/8

1. Tadasana (Mountain Pose):

Stand tall with your feet together, arms by your sides, and palms facing forward.
Lengthen your spine, engage your core, and lift your chest.
This pose improves posture and blood circulation, which nourishes the skin and promotes a healthy glow.

3/8

2. Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand):

According to Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, Founder of Akshar Yoga Kendraa, “Lie on your back and lift your legs and lower body off the ground, supporting your lower back with your hands. Keep your legs straight and your toes pointed upward. Shoulder stand increases blood flow to the face, reducing wrinkles and promoting a youthful complexion.”

4/8

3. Halasana (Plow Pose):

From shoulder stand, lower your legs over your head until your feet touch the ground behind you.
Keep your hands on your lower back for support.
This pose stimulates the thyroid gland, which regulates metabolism and can improve skin texture.

5/8

4. Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose):

According to Yogacharya Akhil Gore, Founder RouteIn Yoga, “Lie on your stomach with your palms flat on the ground under your shoulders. Inhale as you lift your chest off the ground, keeping your elbows close to your body. Cobra pose stretches the chest and promotes circulation, which rejuvenates the skin.”

6/8

5. Matsyasana (Fish Pose):

Lie on your back with your legs extended and your arms resting by your sides.
Press your forearms and elbows into the ground as you lift your chest toward the ceiling.
Fish pose opens the throat and chest, allowing for deeper breathing and increased oxygen flow to the skin.

7/8

6. Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend):

Sit on the floor with your legs extended in front of you.
Hinge at the hips and reach forward, grabbing hold of your feet or shins.
This pose calms the mind and reduces stress, which can minimize breakouts and promote clearer skin.

8/8

7. Viparita Karani (Legs-Up-the-Wall Pose):

Sit close to a wall and lie on your back, extending your legs upward along the wall.
Relax your arms by your sides and close your eyes.
Legs-up-the-wall pose promotes relaxation and improves blood circulation, reducing puffiness and dark circles around the eyes.
In addition to practicing these yoga poses, maintaining a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet, proper hydration, and adequate sleep is essential for achieving glowing skin. Yoga can be a powerful tool in your skincare routine, helping you cultivate not only outer radiance but also inner peace and well-being. Incorporate these poses into your practice regularly, and you may soon notice a natural and lasting glow that emanates from within.
