From unfit to fittest!

Hrithik Roshan has a huge fanbase not just for his acting skills but also for his super hot and ripped physique as well as his amazing dancing skills. Afterall, no other actor is dubbed as the ‘Greek God.’

Son of film director Rakesh Roshan, this star kid’s journey to stardom isn't easy. Though Hrithik may not have gone through the struggle of getting casted in a big film for his debut, nevertheless it was all through his hardwork and immense self-faith that he achieved a well-built physique and incredible dancing skills, even after doctors warned he would never be able to.

Doctors warned he can never dance

In a recent episode of Indian Idol Season 13, Rakesh Roshan shared that when he decided to make ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ with Hrithik, back then the actor was “very lean and thin.”

“Doctors told him that aap kabhi physique nahi bana sakte, dance nahi kar sakte. Kyunki aap me inherent kuch problem hai spinal cord mein. (Doctors told him that he can never build a physique because he had some inherent problem in his spinal cord),” the director revealed on the show.

'He challenged everything'

However, even Hrithik’s body issues could not stand in the way of his dream.

“He challenged everything and he started exercising with books and slowly from books he came to dumbbells and from dumbbells he made all this physique,” Rakesh Roshan added.

Fascinated with body builders since childhood

In an interview with Vogue, Hrithik shared that he was a “very unfit child” in the fourth grade, but was “fascinated with the human body”.

He shared, “I had a small newspaper cutting of a body builder in my cupboard that I looked at every day.” He was also “blown away by the physical strength” of Superman.

‘Krrish 3’ was a make-or-break for his fitness

Soon before the shoot for ‘Krrish 3’ was scheduled, Hrithik had a double slipped disc. He could not sleep, was on heavy muscle relaxants and had also gained weight.

He found fitness trainer Kris Gethin to help him regain his fitness. Within a span of 9-10 weeks, Hrithik was completely transformed for 'Krrish 3'.

Workout is priority

Hrithik works out for 2 hours everyday. On busy days, he would get at least 10 minutes of stretching and push-ups, even if he gets home late at night.

Along with his commitment to workout, he follows a strict diet which is rich in veggies, high in protein and low in sugar.
