"Coronavirus was engineered as a bioweapon"

A researcher at the Wuhan Institute of Virology has made shocking claims about the coronavirus. In an exclusive interview with Jennifer Zeng, the researcher has revealed China's role in the creation of the virus, news agency ANI has reported. In an interview with the Chinese-born human rights activist, Chao Shao talked about several alarming details about this.

His colleagues were asked to find the best strain

In the 26-minute-long interview, Chao says that China had engineered this virus as a bioweapon and his colleagues were given four strains of the virus and were asked to find out which one of them could spread the best. They were asked to find the superior strain of the virus on the basis of its ability to infect and spread as many species at the earliest. They were also asked to find out how easily the virus infected human beings.

He narrates several incidents where he suspected a foul play

Chao reveals several incidents in the interview, for which he feels he was deputed intentionally to either spread the virus or check how it is working in humans. He disclosed about programs where he and his colleagues were sent to check the health of people and since this job does not require a virologist he suspects foul play which can either be spreading the virus or estimating its impact on humans.

"They were sent there to spread the virus"

Chao reveals that during the 2019 military world games which happened in Wuhan several of his colleagues went missing. "Later, one of them revealed that they were sent to hotels where athletes from various countries were staying to “check the health or hygiene conditions. Since checking hygiene doesn’t require virologists, Chao Shan suspected that they were sent there to spread the virus," ANI reported.

He went to Xinjiang to check the health of imprisoned Uyghurs

Chao revealed that in April 2020, more than a year after COVID was declared a global pandemic, Chao was sent to Xinjiang to check the health status of the imprisoned Uyghurs. He said that this was done to release them sooner. However, since a health check-up does not need a virologist, he suspects he was sent there either to spread the virus or check how it is working on humans.

US intelligence did not find any clear evidence on COVID origin in Wuhan lab

As per a report by The NewYork Times on Friday, intelligence agencies in the US did not find any evidence on the claims that scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology conducted research on coronaviruses, had inadequate safety measures, and had genetically modified the viruses. "But the intelligence agencies said they have found nothing that tells them that work at the laboratory caused the pandemic," the media reported.

COVID’s impact is still being felt

Along with 7 million deaths, COVID has damaged the lives of several millions of people across the world. While less number of COVID cases are being reported these days, the impact of COVID which is being said as the long COVID has impacted more people. The impact of this disease ranges from the respiratory tract to major body organs like the heart and brain. The real reason for COVID is still being explored and several claims, such as the one made by Chao Shao, have been reported.
