This guy lost weight by eating simple homemade food!

Tarunraj Yadav was unhappy with the way his birthday pictures came out and hated having to wear big-sized clothes. Considering it to be a wake-up call, he put in all of his hard work and became determined to lose extra flab in 3 months! Here's how his journey went:

Name: Tarunraj Yadav

Occupation: Salaried professional

Age: 27

Height:5.4 feet

City: Vapi

Highest weight recorded:86.5 kilos

Weight lost: 18 kilos

Duration it took me to lose weight: 3 Months

My turning point

It was my birthday on December 10 last year. I knew that my friends will be coming home to surprise me so I decided to wear a big sized T-shirt that would hide my belly in pictures. Unfortunately, my belly had grown so big that even that shirt wouldn't fit. And that day, I realized that now was the time to start my weigh loss journey

3/9

Diet

My breakfast: My morning meal was a green salad consisting of green vegetables and sprouts which were high on proteins.

My lunch: 2 chapati and 1 bowl of subzi

My dinner: 1 chapati and a cup of daal.

Pre-workout meal: Black coffee

Post- workout meal: Green tea

I indulge in (What you eat on your cheat days): I didn't cheat any day but I used to treat myself when my weekly target was achieved with a vegetable burger.

Low-calorie recipes I swear by: Green salad

Workout and fitness regime

Firstly, I start by stretching my muscles and doing some warm-up and follow up with 20-30 minutes of daily cardio and then train all core muscles like chest, shoulder, biceps, tricep, back and legs. I also took up cycling and running.

Fitness secrets I unveiled: It's all about pushing and challenging your body. Earlier, it would be tough for me to even run for a small distance. Now I can easily run for over an hour and cycle for around 3 hours at a stretch. You put in some hard work, and slowly, your body gifts back all the rewards.

5/9

How do you stay motivated?

By taking frequent pictures of myself and most importantly, regularly weighing myself and check the change.

How do you ensure you don’t lose focus: I maintained a very strong mindset that I have to lose weight and look slim and no matter what I do not have the oppurtunity to give up.

6/9

What's the most difficult part of being overweight?

You avoid being a part of group pictures. Everybody calls you 'mota' and slowly and gradually, you start to lose our confidence levels as well.

7/9

What shape do you see yourself 10 years from now?

Being a healthy person and achieving 4-pack abs.

8/9

What lifestyle changes did you make?

Sleeping on time and waking up on time. Taking all my meals on stipulated time.

What was the lowest point for you: I got so used to weighing myself weekly, so this one Saturday, when I didn't see any change in my weight, I because demotivated. But next Monday, I put in more repetitions of my exercises and improved myself.

9/9

Lessons learnt from weight loss

Nothing is impossible . Dream it do it achieve it

What works for one not necessarily suits others. However, adhering to low intake of foods for the latter part of the day, normally if followed regularly and religiously should be okay to avoid putting additional weight. This is my experience over the years to maintain standard body and ideal wt without any discomfort.Only the challenge for the person without temptations for food.
