​Eat chicken dinner and lose weight​

If you like eating chicken, then you can cook interesting chicken recipes at home to add to your weight loss diet. Chicken is rich in protein and low in calories and carbs. Make sure you do not add extra high-calorie ingredients such as cream or butter. Chicken also keeps you satiated for long, which means eating a chicken dinner in time will help prevent hunger pangs after dinner. Try these delicious and easy-to-cook chicken recipes.

​Dahi chicken​

Ingredients: 1/2 kg boneless chicken, 2 1/2 cups yogurt, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp garlic paste, 1/2 tsp red chili powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric, 1/4 tsp garam masala, few slit green chillies, 2 onions (chopped), 1 tomato (chopped), coriander leaves to garnish, 2 tsp oil, 1 tsp salt.

​How to make dahi chicken​

Take yogurt and add cumin powder, garlic paste, garam masala, haldi and red chili powder. Mix well. Put chicken into this and add slit chillies. Mix with hands and set aside for half an hour. Once the chicken is marinated, take a pan and add oil in it. Add onions and cook until soft. Add tomatoes and cook for a minute. Now add the chicken along with all the marinade. Once the chicken is cooked properly, add salt. Serve garnished with coriander leaves.

​Chicken tangri​

Ingredients: 6 chicken legs, 2 1/2 tsp garlic-ginger paste, 1 green chilli (finely chopped), few fresh coriander leaves, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 2 1/2 tbsp olive oil

​How to make chicken tangri​

Prepare the masala paste by combining all the ingredients together (apart from the chicken) and grinding them. Next, make gashes into the chicken legs and spread the masala paste on the chicken legs. Rub it well with your hands. Refrigerate the chicken for 3-4 hours to marinate. Once done, cook the chicken on a tandoor till char grilled on the outside and succulent on the inside. Serve hot.

​Low-fat butter chicken​

Ingredients: 400 gms chicken chunks (sliced), 4 large onions, 2-3 cinnamon sticks, 4 cloves, 2 tej patta, 1 tbsp garlic paste, 2 cardamom, 5-6 large red tomatoes, to taste salt, 1/2 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1/4 tsp haldi, 3-4 green chillies (slit from the middle and de seeded), for garnishing fresh coriander, 1/4 cup yogurt, 2 tsp oil.

​How to make low-fat butter chicken​

Take a pan and put oil in it. Add onion cut in long slices, cinnamon, tej patta, cardamom, and garlic paste. Saute well till the onion becomes brown. Turn the heat off and let the onion mix cool down. Once done, add it to a blender along with chopped tomatoes and curd and blend into a smooth paste.


Now, take the same pan and saute the chicken in it. Once the chicken is almost cooked, add the masala paste and cook. Add salt to taste, red chili, coriander powder, haldi, and green chillies. You can add a little butter but do not go overboard. Once ready, garnish with coriander and serve.
