The turning point

I was always fond of junk food and lived a sedentary lifestyle which gradually led to a massive weight gain. Due to fat gain I started facing medical problems including high BP and moderate fatty liver.

Being a medical professional, I took note of the alarms from my body and after a health check up, I got to know that my liver enzymes were disturbed. My doctor told me that it was at a reversible stage and that weight loss is the only solution. This was a turning point.

Workout regime

I workout for 5 days a week. I start from 3,500 steps in the morning to 3.75 kms jogging plus 2.54 kms walk plus cycling as conveyance from home to ground and vice versa ( approx. 2.5kms). I also do squats for 10 mins daily.

Fitness secrets I unveiled

It’s mathematics - increase your workout slowly but regularly.

Monitor your weight daily (not suggested by experts but it works for me as every 100 gm gain or lose is imp.) .

How do I stay motivated: The fear of losing all efforts pushes me to be consistent.

How do you ensure you don’t lose focus: I measure my weight in the morning, then post workout and then before going to bed at night.

What’s the most difficult part of being overweight

I faced adverse medical problems, which was the toughest part of being overweight.

What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line: I just want to maintain the weight.

Lessons learnt from weight loss: Start small, and the end will be wondrous.
