Woman drops 40 kilos with simple home-cooked meals: Here’s the complete weight loss diet

A 24-year-old woman dropped 40 kilos with simple home-cooked meals. Kopal Agarwal, who is a UK-based student from India, went from 101 kg to 62 kg by eating delicious home-cooked meals and regular exercise. She has shared her journey with netizens on social media.

Agarwal’s drastic weight loss journey has taken the internet by storm, and she has now revealed her diet and workout routines.

Weight loss strategy

The woman’s approach to weight loss was refreshingly straightforward: no fad diets, no expensive supplements, just wholesome, home-cooked meals paired with an active lifestyle. Agarwal, who is now, encourages people looking for a fitness transformation. She emphasizes the importance of starting small.

“Make these small goals for a big change!

  • Just do any form of workout for at least a week

  • Cut sugar off completely for a week

  • Cut out junk/ outside food for a week

  • Increase your water intake slightly

You will start noticing changes within you in a week itself, and then you’ll become an addict without even noticing! Yes, you heard it right! Fitness is addictive and is definitely one of the best addictions,” the woman shares in a video shared onInstagram.

Now let’s take a look at her diet.

3/7

Breakfast

Nutritious home-cooked meals were Agarwal’s secret to weight loss. She made simple, balanced, and nutrient-rich meals to reach her fitness goals.

Kopal Agarwal prioritized proteins in her everyday diet, especially in morning meals. Her ideal breakfast is a roti with five egg whites. Another breakfast option on her list is a bowl of poha (flattened rice) with paneer slices. Her third option for the morning meal is a high-protein yogurt bowl with fresh fruits that are seasonal and antioxidant-rich.

4/7

Mid-morning snack

Small meals spread throughout the day are one strategy Agarwal adopted to lose weight. Instead of skipping meals or eating large portions twice or thrice, she split them into small meals. Such an approach would reduce overeating and also prevent major sugar spikes and crashes.

For a mid-morning snack, Agarwal focused on foods that are light and hydrating. These include watermelon, strawberries, black coffee, or coconut water.

5/7

Lunch

Eating a filling as well as nutritious lunch is essential for weight loss. Again, she focuses on adding protein, which helps to keep her fuller for longer. Eating adequate protein also prevents overeating and keeps cravings at bay. One of her preferred lunch options is 100 grams of chicken with green vegetables. The second option is khichdi, a South Asian cuisine made of rice and lentils, along with some curd. Another option is paneer bhurji with green vegetables.

6/7

Evening drink

A couple of hours after lunch, she enjoys a cup of green tea. Green tea has numerous health benefits, and one of those is weight loss. Green tea has a high concentration of catechins, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), that can boost metabolism and maximize fat burning. A 2020reviewof 11 studies found that green tea can help reduce body weight, body mass index (BMI), and belly fat in people with type 2 diabetes.

7/7

Dinner

A light dinner is the key to weight loss. Indulging in feasts or calorie-rich food at night would add strain on your digestive system. Agarwal opts for protein-rich foods such as sautéed paneer with vegetables for dinner. Another option in her weight loss plan is 100 grams of chicken with green salad. The third option is egg bhurji.
