Neal Mohan is a new addition to Indian origin CEOs
YouTube's new CEO, Neal Mohan is a fresh addition to the list of Indian origin CEOs who helm tech giants and big firms abroad.
Mohan has joined the list which has the names of Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai.
Neal Mohan was the Chief Product Officer of YouTube earlier
Neal Mohan is a popular name in the tech industry. Before becoming the CEO of the global online video sharing platform, he was its Chief Product Officer.
Prior to this, he has also worked with Google and was a part of AdSense and DoubleClick products.
He has MBA degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business
Neal Mohan got an MBA degree in 2005 from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Stanford University in 1996. He was an Arjay Miller Scholar and was among the top 10 percent of students in terms of GPA.
He had joined Google in 2007
Mohan, who worked as a deputy of Susan Wojcicki the outgoing CEO of YouTube, had joined Google in 2007. He later became the SVP of Display and Video Ads.
YouTube is the world's second most visited website after Google search.
He became YouTube's Chief Product Officer in 2015
Neal Mohan was involved in some of the biggest launches of the firm which included YouTube TV, YouTube Music and Premium and Shorts.
He also led the Trust and Safety team of YouTube.
He is married to Hema Sareen Mohan
As per reports, Neal Mohan is married to Hema Sareen Mohan who works on non-profit and public welfare sectors predominantly.
The 47 year old has succeeded Susan Wojcicki, who led YouTube since 2014.
