Watchout for these signs

Marriages are fun in the beginning but it doesn’t feel as exciting after sometime. Besides cheating and any kind of abuse, there are several signs that are conveyed via actions or words that are screaming the fact that your marriage is on shaky waters. So scroll down and see if any of these resonate with you. If they do, work on it, address it and go to a counselor if need be to save your marriage.

2/8

Divorce fantasies

During your marriage if you have even once fantasised about getting a divorce, it means you're on a rocky boat. Imagining a life without your partner is a sign that you no longer feel attracted to your spouse.

3/8

Minimised concerns

If either of you think you are superior to your partner and you dismiss the other’s feelings, it is a cause of major concern. There is clearly no equal partnership which defines a marriage.

4/8

You feel lonely

In a marriage, you should never feel lonely or left alone. If all your time feels like alone time and your partner is not engaging with you or vice versa, then you both are no more on a solid ground of marriage.

5/8

There’s no fun

Disagreements and compromises are part and parcel of a marriage but it is also very important to have some light moments when you both are laughing at silly things, cracking jokes and pulling each other’s leg. If that fun time has fizzled out, and you feel bored with your partner then you know what’s happening to your marriage.

6/8

You keep things secretive

A spouse has to be your confidant or else the trust is missing and that makes your relationship hollow. If either of you are not sharing things or you don’t feel like telling anything to your partner, it means that you need a marriage counselor.

7/8

Your actions irritate your spouse

How you chew your food, the way you dress up, talking loudly on the phone, if all these things get under your spouse’s skin or vice versa then it means that something is missing. Nobody is perfect and your spouse must accept who you are.

8/8

Too many arguments

If most of your conversations turn into silly arguments then it is an important signal that both of you are not on the same page and that you want different things. Sometimes it is fine but all the time may not be healthy. It could be about hurting someone and the other covers it with an argument but there is definitely a lack of communication.
