At-home date ideas to amp up your lockdown phase

Everyone is stuck at home and trying to live one day at a time. It's no news that this time can get a lot to handle. But if you are creative enough to make the most out of this lockdown, there's no stopping you from enjoying all the comforts of your home. Especially if you're a married couple who wishes to bring back some fun and romance in your relationship, these at-home date ideas will greatly help.

2/7

Go technology-free

Of course, we don't mean to say that you pull out the plug on everything. But you could simply take a break from your screens for a while and instead stare into each other's eyes. Look at each other, talk about things happening in each other's lives and around. There's always going to be so much to talk about once you get started with one topic. You can always set a time limit.

3/7

Organize an indoor picnic

You can still channel a picnic vibe right in the comfort of your home. Set up a blanket on the floor, curate some fresh food that you both love, open all the windows to let the fresh air in, sit facing each other and munch on some yummies. You can even play fetch with your furry friend if you have one.

4/7

Cook that tricky dish

There might have been that one dish that both of you have been craving to have. Look it up on the Internet and try and cook it together. Plan a day where you can get all the groceries and kitchen ingredients that you might need for that dish. Cooking can be a lot of fun and therapeutic too.

5/7

Try each other's workout routine

If you both are a couple who's into exercising daily, one day a week could be where you try each other's exercise routine. This way you stay fit and even spend time together teaching and learning a thing or two.

6/7

DIY something together

Do something for your apartment. Maybe you need some new lights for the living room or a cute wall art for your bedroom. You can search for something on the internet and rely on one of the many DIY ideas available there.

7/7

Read together

If you both are all about books and reading, plan a time in the day where you both simply sit with your books. Maybe even read out your favourite chapter from your book to your spouse. You both can also take pauses to share something nice you read in your respective books.
