Here are some honest confessions

In a world where traditional norms often dictate that marriage is the ultimate life goal, many women are bravely defying these expectations and choosing to remain single. Here are some personal stories where women have confessed on why they chose to be single.

2/5

I chose to be single because I cherish my independence

Growing up, I always thought marriage was the ultimate goal. But as I got older, I realised that societal expectations shouldn't dictate my life choices. I chose to be single because I cherish my independence and freedom. I have a fulfilling career and a vibrant social life, and I'm content with my own company. Marriage isn't the only path to happiness, and I'm confident that I can lead a fulfilling life on my terms without needing a partner to complete me.

3/5

I will marry when I find that person

I've seen too many of my friends rush into marriages that ended in divorce. I didn't want to make the same mistake. I've had relationships, and I've learned that I value my peace and solitude more than a romantic partner. I'm not anti-love, but I am anti-settling. I believe that if I'm meant to find someone special, it will happen naturally, without the pressure to conform to societal norms. My parents tried to pester me into going for an arranged marriage for a while and then they gave up.

4/5

I've witnessed women losing their identity within marriages

My choice to be single doesn't mean I'm afraid of commitment. It means I'm committed to myself and my personal growth. I've witnessed women losing their identity within marriages, and I refuse to let that happen to me. I travel, pursue my passions, and savor my own company. I don't need a spouse to validate my existence. I've found joy in my own independence and the ability to chart my own course in life.

5/5

I'm determined to reach my full potential before considering marriage

For me, it's not about rejecting marriage; it's about not prioritising it over my own goals and dreams. I've invested in my education and career, and I'm determined to reach my full potential before considering marriage. I've seen too many women sacrifice their ambitions for the sake of marriage, and I refuse to make that compromise. I'm confident that when the right person comes into my life, they'll support my journey rather than hinder it.
