Signs your mother-in-law borderline hates you

It is sad but not always in your control that your mother-in-law hates you. If she has been upto some tactics that you feel are destroying your peace of mind, jeopardising your marriage, then you ought to know what she truly feels for you. Is it just momentary or is it hatred that keeps brewing in her for you? If you can relate to these signs, then you know that your mother-in-law hates you.

Some people can be truly vicious and when they have so much venom in their heads, they cannot even refrain themselves while complimenting you. Those backhanded compliments are an obvious sign that she doesn't like you.

If you are a working woman or even a home-engineer, what you want, your ambitions or identity mean zilch to her. This means exactly what you think. No, you do not have to think “meri koi feelings nahi hai, mai marjaun” as Shehnaz Gill said on Bigg Boss, it just means you don't let it affect you and believe in yourself!

You have pimples, are heavy on the weighing scale, wear bright clothes or have your own dressing style but your mother-in-law keeps buying things of her own choice and imposes them on you, then you know what is happening. Don’t get it? To spell it out, she hates hope you look and probably wants a mini-me.

There are lunches and get togethers being organised by her, the family has been invited to some place but she “accidentally” forgot to tell you. She is trying to seclude you, make you feel unwanted.

If you have shown insecurities or she knows where you lack (because no one is perfect), she will keep harping on it and make you second guess yourself. You have to be a very strong person and not let this behaviour bother you.
