Implement these rules

The man may have garnered hatred for his attitude when he took over Twitter, and he may have some eccentric habits too as per several reports but Elon Musk, who is amongst the richest today, laid out a few rules and mailed them to his employees in Tesla and all employees and managers would agree to it! If you are reading this right now, it may inspire you to change things around at your workplace. Scroll down to know the 6 rules of productivity that Elon Musk mailed his employees at Tesla.

2/7

Avoid large meetings

Large meetings are useless as they waste valuable time and energy. They leave no scope for debates and in fact discourage them completely. People become more guarded than opening up. Not everyone can contribute due to the time constraint.

3/7

Ditch frequent meetings

Holding meetings every now and then is nothing but a waste of time. If your meeting does not require your input, decisions, or value then your presence is useless. As per Musk, it is not rude to leave a meeting but it is rude to waste people’s time.

4/7

Communicate directly

As per Musk, the chain of command must be eradicated. It is better to communicate with colleagues directly and not through managers or supervisors. Fast communication means fast decisions and that is equal to competitive advantage.

5/7

Be clear and not clever

Technical jargon and acronyms are nonsensical. They just simply slow down communication. You must choose words that are to the point, concise and easy for all to understand. Sound smart is not at all a smart move, what is smart is that you should be efficient.

6/7

The real meaning of a meeting

In a real meeting, the whole point is to get things done with clarity. A meeting must be used to collaborate, solve urgent issues at hand, and attack the issues dead on instead of beating around the bush. Instead of a meeting, you can also send an email with all points mentioned, and texts and you must keep in mind that your team’s workflow is not disturbed.

7/7

Use common sense

Musk also shared that you must use your common sense and not just follow rules. Following principles is what is important. If a company rule makes no sense to you, it has zero contribution to your progress, then there is no point.
