Things employees hate about their bosses

Here's why the bosses are hated

A boss and employee relationship can either be very complicated or very sorted. But a number of times, employees end up hating their bosses and bosses do not even realise this. To avoid such a situation, we bring to you 5 such situations where hatred pipes up. If you have something to add, do share with us in the comments section.

2/6

When the boss is unapproachable

Some bosses are never there for their employees. They think that they have a good relationship but when they hardly talk and do not even listen to the employees, how is that ever going to happen? When the boss is unapproachable, the employees’ work performance is also affected. They make decisions that they are not qualified to because their boss was not responsive on time and then comes the stress, mistakes and lowered morale.

3/6

They don’t know whether the boss is a manager or a friend

If the boss is unapproachable, it is an issue, but if they try to become besties with the employees, it confuses the latter. They are sometimes unable to differentiate between the boss friend and the boss manager. Half the time they get confused whether they should be friends and talk about things with that boss or not because many bosses can bite when their chair requires them to play dirty.

4/6

When their boss does not tell them their progress

There is no point in working anywhere when you don't know whether you are doing well or not. Having your career graph in the dark in the sense of performance is something that makes employees run away. Many bosses do not even have the respect for their employee to let them know how they are doing, where they should work more etc.

5/6

The pointless changes made by bosses

Change is the only constant indeed but when you do not tell your employees what the change is all about and why it is coming into the picture especially when things were going smooth before, your employees are bound to lose it and hate you. Transparency in functioning is very important and many bosses fail to do so.

6/6

When bosses only criticise

If a boss is only criticising but not acknowledging the good work they do, the boss is attracting pure hatred and even pushing their employee to quit and go work somewhere who values that hard work. It is a very frustrating trait that many bosses do not realise until that employee has put down their papers.
