Spiritual lessons of life

When someone mentions spirituality, the first image to come to mind is of saffron-clad people, rituals in the background, healing stones, meditative poses, and the likes. But what Spirituality is, above the common perception, is a deeply personal journey that helps a human realise the biggest lessons of life. It helps them connect to their higher self and the energy that surrounds them. It teaches people to show gratitude, to be encouraging, to grow internally, to not be uncomfortable with silence, and much more.
And here we mention 6 lessons that true spirituality teaches people.

2/7

The soul never dies

One of the most powerful lessons that spirituality gives people is the realisation and understanding that the soul is eternal. No one can break it, burn it, or finish it. Even when the human body perishes, or is burned after death, the soul quietly leaves the body, and continues its journey. This journey could be transforming to life again, or moksha.
The soul moves from one experience to another, carrying the lessons and energy from one life into the next.

3/7

Divine energy is everywhere

Another lesson spirituality teaches is that divine energies are everywhere. You do not have to look for them in caves or deep in the Himalayas, you have to find them first. There is divine energy everywhere, and it flows in all beings, living or non-living. And when a person truly connects spiritually, they notice this energy too.
The chirping birds, the blooming trees, the stones that are shaped by nature, and much more, are all energies.

4/7

Time is cyclical

For many, time comes in a straight line. You are born, you grow, you age, you die. But honestly, it is not this simple. There is a reason why people say that you need to learn from history, because history is bound to repeat itself.
And many spiritual traditions teach that time moves in cycles, like seasons, and nothing is truly lost because it comes back in some or the other form.

5/7

True detachment is very hard to achieve

Spirituality does not ask people to give up their family, career, or relationships. But it does teach them that if you hold on too tight, things will slip like sand from your hand. Holding onto something or clinging too tightly to it only creates suffering in the long run.
And instead of having bouts of isolation with you thinking ‘Today is the day I give up on everyone and detach’, just try to be involved in things but without being very emotionally invested.

6/7

Everything in the universe is interconnected

Spirituality teaches people that nothing in this world exists just on its own. No thought you have is isolated, no act you do is based on ‘nothing’, and no sentence you say is ‘on its own’. And so, in life, and in this universe, nothing is isolated, but rather is interconnected. Every thought, action, and emotion that you feel and send out into the universe comes back to you in some form, and this is simply the way energy flows.

7/7

What is destined for you will find a way

We live in a world that tells us to ‘chase our dreams’. How? Nobody can say for sure. And in between this, Spirituality teaches people that what is destined for them will find a way to them. This does not mean that you sit around not doing anything, but rather that if you do not get what you wish at a certain point in time, it might be because it is not the right time for you to have it. It tells you to do your part, give your best, but let go of the anxiety around results. Because what is truly meant for you will come to you, and no power can stop it from coming to you.
