1. The Mahabharata was originally named Jaya. 2. The first priest to completely recite the Mahabharata, without any intentional pause was Ved Vyasa. 3. Battle of Kurukshetra. 4. Gandhari cursed Shri Krishna after the war and said that his clan, the Yadavas, would vanish by fighting each other. 5. Sanjaya, a disciple of Sage Vyasa, could see events through his divine eyes and so he narrated the way to Dhritarashtra and Gandhari. 6. Yuyutsu was the only Kaurava to side with Dharma. 7. Kunti got the boon of being able to have a son with any God and it was given by Sage Durvasa. Kunti then had Karna with Surya dev. 8. The name of the conch blown before war was ‘Panchjanya’.
