Europe travel planning simplified with wider access to tours and experiences
Planning a trip to Europe could now be easier for Indian travellers, with a wider range of well-known tours and attractions available to book in one place. The update allows users to discover, plan and book some of Europe’s most popular experiences in a few clicks, with prices shown in Indian Rupees.
The aim is to reduce the need to visit several international websites for trains, museums and city tours. Travellers can now organise many of their activities alongside flights and accommodation, helping to simplify trip planning.
The platform has partnered with several global operators behind some of Europe’s most visited experiences. These include Merlin Entertainments, which runs attractions such as the London Eye, Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE aquariums; the Jungfrau Railway Group, known for scenic train journeys to the “Top of Europe” in the Swiss Alps; Rail Europe, which provides train tickets across the continent including the popular Swiss Travel Pass; and Big Bus Tours, which operates open-top sightseeing buses in cities like London, Paris and Rome.
Commenting on the development, Jasmeet Singh, Chief Commercial Officer – Holidays & Experiences, MakeMyTrip, said the goal is to remove the stress often linked with planning European travel. He pointed out that travellers usually have to manage different platforms and currencies, and said this move brings key experiences together in one place.
Holiday packages typically include six to eight pre-booked activities. Company data shows strong demand for Swiss rail journeys, city sightseeing tours, and entertainment attractions such as Madame Tussauds and the London Eye, reflecting what travellers most often choose when visiting Europe.
