5 best trekking trails India for every explorer

India is a country with varied landscapes. Various trekking spots are found here that are perfect for beginners and offer natural beauty coupled with easy-to-climb terrain. Trekking beginners can discover lovely landscapes with the help of trekking from Himachal Pradesh's lush valleys to the culturally affluent landscape of Sikkim.
Let us see some trekking spots in India:

2/6

Nag Tibba Trek (Uttarakhand)

Refered to as 'Serpent's Peak,' it is the highest peak of the Garhwal division in Uttarakhand. It is located 16 km from Landour and 57 km from Mussoorie. This peak is named after the Nag Tibba mountain range, which forms a significant part of the Lesser Himalayas. Nag Tibba is said to be the home of Nag Devta, or the snake god. One can also spot the temple of the deity at the top of the hill, which also offers a spectacular view of the picturesque Himalayan ranges around. The trek begins from Goat Village, and one traverses through thick forests to the Khaitan village on day 1, and then onwards to Nag Tibba. This hike may seem tough during winters since the routes have snow on them but significantly contributes to the scenery.

3/6

Triund Trek (Himachal Pradesh)

Small hill station in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Popular trekking spot which begins from McLeod Ganj close to Dharamshala. It will pass through trails and passes with pine, oak, and rhododendron trees in dense forests which merge into a meadow that also provides a scenic view of the Dhauladhar mountains. The trek to this place can be done within a day or two and is easily accessible any time of the year. Triund Trek can be termed as a peaceful trek that can be comfortably done by nearly all age groups. The hike is actually worth it since the scenery is simply breathtaking and thrilling.

4/6

Valley of Flowers Trek (Uttarakhand)

Situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, it boasts meadows full of alpine flowers along with rich biodiversity. The site is also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trek primarily begins from the Ghangaria village, the trek's base camp. As the trail is well defined, it is easy to climb and view the stunning region of a colorful mix of uncommon plants like orchids, the blue Himalayan poppy, and medicinal flora. One must trek to this location during July and early September when the flowers are fully bloomed after monsoon.

5/6

Sham Valley Trek (Ladakh)

Otherwise referred to as the Apricot Valley, since apricot is the primary crop cultivated here. What makes the trek lovely is the Indus river flowing alongside in the Leh district of Ladakh. During the trek, one can see a number of Ladakhi villages, monasteries like Likir and Rizong, and breathtaking vistas. Trekkers also get an opportunity to learn about the affluent culture of Ladakhi villages. The 32 km long valley takes 4–5 days to trek. The valley, which begins from Spituk and also includes the region up to Lamayuru, is very popular among the trekkers.

6/6

Biharinath Hill Trek (West Bengal)

The tallest peak of the West Bengal district of Bankura, it is also a part of the Eastern Ghats and is covered with thick Sal forests, hills, clear water ponds, and rock structures, and one may also find the renowned Shiva temple here. Biharinath Hill is one trek that can be undertaken throughout the year. It is short, only 3 kilometres, so ideal for a novice trek or those who just want to undertake a nature walk with lovely scenery. This hill becomes even more scenic during spring when one can see flowering 'Palash' along with 'Shimul' all around.
