Nach Baliye 7: Who's in and who's out of the show

Shakti Arora and Neha Saxena have apparently quit the dance reality show Nach Baliye 7. Shakti, who works in a show on a rival channel, was reportedly pressurised to quit the show and hence the couple bowed out of the competition, saving Payal Rohatgi and Sangram Singh from elimination, stated a report on Bollywoodlife.com. However, the report further stated that Shakti came on stage and attributed some family emergency as the reason for leaving the competition. Last week, Smiley Suri and Vineet Bhangera were eliminated from the show.

According to a Bombay Times report, Bigg Boss 8 contestants, Upen Patel and Karishma Tanna are likely to be a part of Star Plus' Nach Baliye season 7. Karishma and Upen made headlines as the loved up couple during their Bigg Boss 8 stint and the duo will now reportedly test their dancing skills on the reality show.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the makers were keen to rope in Shahid Afridi for Nach Baliye 7 that starts airing in April.They were close to finalising the signing amount when the batsman suddenly developed cold-feet. The reason being that it finally struck him that the show's format involves couples rocking the dance floor. A source was quoted in the report as saying that, "Shahid was ready for a solo act but when told that his wife and he would have to groove together, he was taken aback. He categorically told us that he doesn't want the whole world to see his wife dancing. He turned down the offer saying, `Biwi ko nahin nachana hai!' Nobody could argue with that as it's a personal call."

Salman Yusuff Khan and Rashami Desai to participate in Nach Baliye 7?

According to report in Bollywoodlife.com, choreographer-turned-actor, Salman Yusuff Khan and actors, Rashami Desai and Rajat Tokas have been approached for the upcoming season of the dance reality show, Nach Baliye. The report further states that, though nothing is confirmed yet, the makers are in talks with Rashami Desai-Nandish Sandhu, Salman Yusuff Khan-Faiza Haramain, Jay Soni-Pooja Shah, Mrunal Jain-Sweety Jain, Rajat Tokas-Srishti Nayyar and Himanshoo Malhotra-Amruta Khanvillkar to participate as contestants.

According to a report in Mid-day, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and his wife Soni Razdan have been approached for the upcoming season of Nach Baliye. The seventh season of the show, which is produced by TV czarina Ekta Kapoor, might bring in Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan together. The report further stated that the couple might agree to be a part of some of the episodes depending on their commitments and availability.

Well, it will be interesting to see Mahesh Bhatt grooving on peppy Bollywood numbers, won't it?

Shilpa Shetty shown the door: According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Bollywood beauty Shilpa Shetty who has been associated with dance reality show Nach Baliye, has been be dropped from the show. The report further states that the makers of the dance reality show have now decided that they want to up the 'star' quotient and are looking for a bigger name to replace the actress-entrepreneur. They have already roped in filmmaker Anurag Basu as one of the judges for the show. Anurag has judged India's Best Dramebaaz and Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj in the past.

Priyanka Chopra might replace Shilpa Shetty: According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Mary Kom actress Priyanka Chopra has been approached to replace Shilpa Shetty for Nach Baliye season 7. A source close to the development has been quoted in the report as saying that Shilpa will not be a part of the seventh season. "The makers have approached Priyanka Chopra to step into her shoes as judge. However, owing to her international commitments, the deal with PeeCee hasn't come through yet. She asked them how many days they will require and is trying to fit the show into her packed diary as it requires her to be on the set just one day in a week," the source was quoted as saying in the report.

Esha Deol, Barun Sobti appraoched for the show: According to a report in Bombay Times, Esha Deol, who is currently seen judging Roadies, has been approached to participate in the reality show with her businessman husband, Bharat Takhtani. The show is expected to hit the TV screen in the last week of April or first week of May. The report further stated that apart from Esha, popular TV actor Barun Sobti of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon fame might also be seen on the show with his baliye, Pashmeen Manchanda. He was appraoched last season too, but couldn't be a part of it.

Kamaal R Khan in talks?: According to a report on IANS, actor-producer, Kamaal R Khan is said to have been approached for the next season of dance-based reality show, Nach Baliye. Sources inform that the makers are approaching names from different fields to explore their dancing skills with their better halves on the show.

Kamaal, who was a part of the third season of Bigg Boss, and has appeared in films like Deshdrohi and Ek Villain, is best known for his quirky comments and acting. However, it would be interesting to see him shaking a leg in the show, if he takes up the call.

In February, Kamaal had posted on Twitter: "2day some ppl called me for a reality show n asked me 2participate with real life girlfriend, fiancee or wife. From where I shud bring? Lol!" [sic]
