Schools in the state reopened after 16 months due to the Covid situation on September 1, and already cases of the virus infection are being reported. In one school in Mulugu district, three teachers tested positive for Covid on September 2. “We have done testing for primary contacts today and all have tested negative. The three teachers who tested positive were working at the Zilla Parishad High School in Eturunagaram. They had also reportedly taken two doses of the vaccine. There are 630 students in the school out of which 200 attended the school on Thursday. Nine students and seven teachers who were primary contacts of the three teachers who tested positive were tested for Covid and the result was negative.
