Inside Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge’s Mumbai residence

Former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan bought the Mumbai apartment in 2025 and now lives with Sagarika Ghatge and their son, Fatehsinh Khan. The residence combines traditional Kolhapur-inspired elements with modern interior design. The Instagram posts of Sagarika Ghatge reveal that the design of the residence is a mix of elements related to the upbringing of her in Kolhapur. The materials used in the residence include teakwood and floral upholstery.

The residence integrates traditional materials, phased development, and functional adaptations. Each room contains a combination of structural features, decorative items, and functional furniture. Traditional elements such as teak doors and floral upholstery coexist with contemporary construction materials and layouts. Natural lighting, ventilation systems, and spatial planning contribute to efficiency.

The residence has a mandir, which has been designed with teak wood as well as traditional carvings. This has been included as a small part of the house, thus providing a space for spiritual activities while at the same time remaining consistent with the design of a house with a Kolhapur look.PC: Instagram

Teal-blue memory wall and family-focused design

One room features deep teal-blue walls and a floor-to-ceiling arrangement of framed photographs. The photographs document family milestones and personal events.
Glass-panelled teak doors separate this room from the neighbouring areas. The doors serve to divide the space while ensuring visual access and the free passage of light. The dwelling space caters to a young child and two pet dogs. Seating and tables are positioned according to functional requirements, and high-use areas are constructed with resilient materials.
