Additionally, each Ekadashi is believed to have a unique story and belief. Those who observe all of the Ekadashi's are believed to be bestowed with happiness, health, wealth, and all the worldly pleasures by Lord Vishnu, who also grants them a place in Vaikuntha Dham, the abode of Lord Vishnu after death.

Devotees must get up early morning in order to complete all the rituals during parana time. One must light a diya with desi ghee, offer garland, panchamrit, tulsi patra, fruits, and bhog prasad (sweets), and ask for the forgiveness from the the Lord for whatever sins they may have committed in the past or present. People are advised to break their fast only during the parana time and if they miss this time then they should break it after Hari Vasara end moment or after Madhyahana time.
