Jackky Bhagnani’s ‘Mitron’ has rehashed Lata Mangeshkar's classic song 'Chalte Chalte' from the movie 'Pakeezah' and the new version has been sung by Atif Aslam.
Lata di hasn’t heard Atif’s version yet and intends on not hearing it even in the future. She reportedly said that the trend of remixing old songs saddens her. She wonders where is the creativity in simply lifting acknowledged, beloved classics and shuffling the notes around. She further noted that even the lyrics are changed in the remixes without proper consent of the original poets and composers. Lata di added that nobody has the right to tamper with the creativity of great composers and lyricists.

Rapper Hard Kaur was performing at a Karva Chauth party on October 29 when she apparently lost her cool over a bunch of children who had climbed up on the stage to dance with her. According to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, the cops were called to resolve the matter but none of the guests filed a complaint againt the singer. Assam's popular musician, Zubeen Garg, has landed himself in trouble for allegedly disrespecting the national flag, reports IANS. NGO Sahai president, Raju Mahanta, filed an FIR in Morigaon against Zubeen for hoisting the tricolour at his house at Guwahati's Kharghuli area wearing an informal dress and thereby insulting the flag, police said. The musician had uploaded a photograph on his Facebook account that showed him unfurling the tricolour on August 15 at his residence. He was seen wearing shorts in the picture. The FIR also alleged that the singer did not sing the national anthem while unfurling the tricolour.

Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is visiting India after four-and-a-half years, and is excited about singing a song for Salman Khan's production, reports Mumbai Mirror. On February 13, 2011, he was arrested at the Delhi airport for forex violation. The singer admitted that was a mistake he won't repeat, the report stated. Further to the report, Rahat is gung-ho about an absolutely original song he's recorded for Salman's production, Hero, 'Yaad teri yaad'. "I did the vocal dub in Pakistan and they did the mastering here. I watched the original Hero as a child. Pakistani singer, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in the capital in a case of alleged forex violation, officials said. According to an IANS report, he was grilled at the ED’s Delhi zonal office for around 10 hours, between 10 am and 9 pm Investigators said Khan “satisfactorily” replied to all questions and helped them with detailed replies about the transactions under scanner. Apart from providing investigators the documents related to the case, Khan also recorded his version about the incident under the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act. The singer was summoned for a “personal appearance” and questioning by the agency. The case pertains to the probe agency’s FEMA investigation against him and his associates in 2014 after the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, in 2011, intercepted Khan and his manager, Marrouf Ali Khan, at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here for allegedly carrying an undeclared amount of $124,000 and some other instruments in foreign currency.

Pakistani singer Adnan Sami has been allowed to stay in India for an indefinite period following his appeal to legalise his stay on humanitarian grounds, reports Mumbai Mirror. Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju conveyed to the Lok Sabha that Sami, 46, has been exempted from deportation proceedings under Section 3 of the Foreigners Act, the report stated. Ironically, the BJP had criticised the UPA government for extending Sami's visa. Now, as per an order issued on June 3, the Central government "in public interest", declared that the provisions of Foreigners Act, 1946 will not apply to Adnan Sami Khan, and that "he is exempted from the deportation proceedings." Sami arrived on a year-long visitor visa in March 2001. The last visa extension granted to him expired on May 26. Incidentally his Pakistani passport which was issued in May 2010, also expired on the same date. His passport was not renewed by the Pakistan government, which forced him to approach the Indian government with the request to legalise his stay in India on humanitarian grounds.
Sami reportedly holds Canadian citizenship too. Government sources said that he will have to give up Canadian citizenship as India doesn't have provision for dual citizenships. The government also announced on August 4, 2015, that Pakistani businessmen with assured financial standing and credentials will be given multiple entry business visa up to three years.

"I would be Beyonce. I've got the hands," she said demonstrating her moves. Beyonce, 33, had even performed at Michelle's 50th birthday last year. She had also performed at the Neighborhood Ball celebrating the President's inauguration in 2009.
