Kamya Punjabi: We have always seen her as a fighter and a strong headed woman even if she has played more of negative roles in the small screen name the shows. She entered Big Boss after filing divorce with her husband Bunty Negi. Despite the psychological and emotional stress she had to go through, she stood up strong and emerged as a winner in the battle. Her world revolves around her five year old daughter Aara and nothing else matters to her.

Urvashi Dholakia: The small screen popular vamp is a proud mother of twin boys. She got married at a young age of 16 and was a mother at 17. Urvashi got divorced one and a half years after her marriage and has been a single celebrity mother since then. She took the role of Kamolika in 'Kasauti Zindagi Kay' for financial support to raise her kids. Urvashi has always been a tough woman and vocal about her rights. She raised her sons Kshitij and Sagar without any support and is surely an inspiration to all the women who want to live on their own terms.

Shweta Tiwari: Big Boss 4 ex-contestant Shweta Tiwari was a single mother to daughter Palak for a long time after divorcing her ex husband Raja Choudhary. Shweta took the custody of her daughter and raised her all by herself. She was a victim of Raja’s assault and was shattered from inside. She went through a traumatic phase but made sure her daughter was financially secure. She continued working and won 'Big Boss 4'. Last year she got happily married with TV Actor Abhinav Kohli and is settled now.

Mona Ambegaonkar: The poised dusky actress has worked in CID, Dhadkan, Amber Dhara and the the Rani Mukherjee starrer Mardaani. She has been a single mother to her daughter born in December 2005 allegedly a love child with Dayananad Shetty, 'Daya' from CID. Being a single earner and weak financially, Mona still managed to raise her daughter. She is a protective mother and doesn’t talk much about her personal life.

Pooja Bedi: The yummy mummy Pooja Bedi has always been open about her personal life and is very proud of raising her two kids – son Omar and daughter Aaliya. Full of life Pooja, feels that raising kids and being a single mother is a multitasking job and she is good at it. After her divorce with Farhan Furniturewala, she raised her children by herself. She managed her acting and modeling career and was seen in 'Jhalak Dikhlaja', 'Nach Baliye Season 3' and 'Big Boss 5'. Even after the divorce, Pooja maintained a positive relationship with her ex-husband and is good friends with him.

From 'Saans' to Shyam Benegal’s 'Bharat Ek Khoj' to movies like 'Gandhi', she has proved her brilliance in every aspect. She has always lived her life on her own terms and spoken her heart out. Neena Gupta broke all the rules and traditions of ‘society’ and became a single mother in late eighties after having a child out of wedlock with the popular Cricketer Vivian Richards. Her daughter Masaba Gupta who looks just like Vivian, is the youngest Creative Director for Satya Paul, making her mark in the fashion industry. Despite all odds, Neena Gupta made her name in the industry as well as raised Masaba.
