A valiant effort from Aasif Sheikh comes to an end. Mohammed Siraj breaks the 31-run partnership. A back of length delivery from Siraj into the pads and Aasif was looking to play it on the on-side. Gets a leading edge and Virat Kohli takes a good one-handed catch at short extra-cover. The ball was going over Virat's head but he judged the catch to perfection. Aasif walks back for 58. NEP 132/5

A terrific knock this has been from Aasif Sheikh. The Nepal opener raises his 10th ODI half-century off 88 balls. Aasif has shown terrific fight against this quality Indian bowling attack. After a solid opening stand, Nepal lost wickets at regular intervals but Aasif has held one end together firmly. But there is lot of work still left to do for Aasif. NEP 113/4 after 27.2 overs

Ravindra Jadeja is running through the Nepal batting order. Fifth over into his spell and Jadeja now has his third wicket. A nothing shot from Kushal Malla as he slices the ball straight into the hands of Mohammed Siraj at mid-on. Was looking to hit the ball over the in-field but mis-times horribly. OUT! Nepal three down now! Ravindra Jadeja grabs his second wicket. Skipper Rohit Paudel tries to drive a Jadeja delivery off the backfoot but only manages and outside edge. OUT! A cracking start from Kuldeep Yadav. And he almost had a wicket in his first over. 5 dot balls and Kuldeep then traps a sweeping Aasif Sheikh in front with a wrong'un. The umpire ruled out but Sheikh took the review. Ball-tracking shows that the delivery is missing the off stump. Sheikh survives! NEP 89/2 after 19 overs

OUT! Bowled! Ravindra Jadeja strikes as Nepal lose their second wicket. Bhim Sharki was looking for a square-cut off Jadeja but gets the inside half of the bat. The ball crashes straight into the stumps as Bhim departs for 7. NEP 77/2 after 16 overs

India pull things back after Nepal's brisk start in powerplay. Kushal Bhurtel fell on the penultimate ball of the first powerplay and since then only three runs have been scored. Hardik Pandya has bowled 2 maidens in last three overs. Aasif Sheikh and Bhim Sharki treadling cautiously at the moment against the short-ball strategy from the pacers. OUT! India get the much-needed opening breakthrough as Kushal Bhurtel is caught behind for a 25-ball 38. Shardul Thakur strikes in his first over. Bhurtel chases a wide delivery outside off from Shardul and gets the outside edge. Ishan Kishan holds on to an easy catch behind the stumps. Shardul breaks the 65-run opening stand NEP 65/1 after 6.5 overs

Luck really favouring Nepal early in their innings. After three dropped catches, Kushal Bhurtel now takes a successful review. Hardik Pandya trapped Bhurtel in front and the on-field umpire ruled in favour of India. Bhurtel went for the review and ball-tracking shows that the delivery is sliding down the leg side. Bhurtel survives as India's search for an opening breakthrough continues. NEP 42/0 after 8.1 overs

FOUR! FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries from Aasif Sheikh off Mohammed Siraj. The short ball trick not working for Siraj at the moment. After Kushal Bhurtel slammed Siraj for a couple of boundaries in the previous over off the short-pitched stuff, Sheikh this time takes on Siraj. A cracking pull in front of square followed by a glance to fine-leg fence. NEP 42/0 after 8 overs
