Abu Jayed to C Pujara, FOUR AND FIFTY! 23rd fifty for Pujara. This has been an uncharacteristic knock from Pujara. He reaches the landmark with a terrific cut shot through the backward point region for a boundary. The ball is short in length again and Pujara will not miss out on these. Cheteshwar should look to get a huge now.

Abu Jayed to Pujara, DROPPED AND FOUR! That was a tough chance for Mehidy. Jayed bowls a short of a length delivery outside off, Pujara cuts but does so uppishly towards Mehidy at Gully. The ball was travelling fast and it bursts through the fingers of Hasan and goes into the third man fence. It actually just brushed the fingers of the offie. Not an easy chance that.

Pitch report - Murali Kartik is there for the pitch report. He is joined by Sunil Gavaskar who says the pitch remains good for batting. Adds that there are some footmarks near the short length area and if the faster bowlers bowl here, we might see some uneven bounce today.

After bundling Bangladesh for a mere 150 runs on Day 1, an unbeaten 72-run stand between Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara saw the Indians dominate. The pacers made the ball talk as Shami led the pack with a 3-fer. The visitors removed the in-form Rohit Sharma early with the ball but they could not pick another wicket as both Agarwal and Pujara got themselves in. And, once that happened, runs came thick and fast for the hosts. Mayank Agarwal got a life when Imrul Kayes dropped a sitter in the slips and the opener since then did not allow another opportunity. Pujara, on the other hand, has looked at his fluent best, scoring runs at a brisk pace. Now, how will Day 2 pan out? Indian skipper Virat Kohli had reckoned that the surface will be best for batting from the second day. With 9 wickets intact, Kohli's men would want to post a mountain in front of the visitors to bat them out and then look to bundle them again. Will they be able to do that or will the Bangladeshi bowlers be able to put the hosts under pressure with quick wickets? We will soon find out. Welcome to our coverage of the second day of this Test match.

One of the stars with the ball for India, Mohammed Shami is caught down for a chat with Sanjay Manjrekar. Shami says that he looks at the conditions and then decides what line to bowl on this wicket. Says he looks to use the width of the crease well. Adds that he enjoys taking wickets for the team and thinks bowling tight lines and lengths are the key to getting wickets.
