... DAY 4, Session 2 ...

Bangladesh knew they would have to take wickets and keep the dot ball percentage high to put any sort of pressure on the Kiwis with them chasing a mere 137 to level the series. The bowlers were spot-on with their lines and lengths and bowled outstandingly. A couple of overs from the tall pacer Shoriful Islam were too hot to handle for the Kiwi opener as he came close to taking a wicket at the very least several times. With the visitors being 4 for no loss they require 133 runs more to level the series.  A perfect setup with a decisive session awaiting us all in the context of this game and the series. Let's see what unfolds in the post-lunch session as we will be back by 11.40 am IST (6.10 am GMT).

It is time for Lunch on Day 4 as the Kiwis are required to chase 137 to level the series. The day started with Bangladesh hoping to bat deep in the day and posting a total above 200 at least which would have been a big ask for the Kiwis but the persistent line and length from the Kiwi bowlers brought wickets regularly and the Bangladesh was cut short on 144. Zakir Hasan continued his good form from yesterday and kept the dancing shoes on as he used the crease to maximum effect and managed to score 59 before being dismissed. Ajaz Patel was by daylight the best bowler for the Kiwi as he scalped 6 wickets while Mitchell Santner grabbed 3 and Tim Southee took a wicket as well.
