Speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, US War Secretary Pete Hegseth said an "unexpected and true friendship" was developing between Washington and Islamabad. Praising Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, Hegseth also endorsed President Donald Trump's claim that he played a role in helping broker peace between India and Pakistan. The comments come amid growing discussion over the future direction of US-Pakistan relations.
