India vs New Zealand WTC Final Highlights: New Zealand 101/2 at stumps on Day 3, trail India by 116 runs

After an average outing on Day 2, New Zealand pacers bounced back in style to bundle out India for 217 on the third day of the WTC Final in Southampton. At stumps, New Zealand were 101 for 2, trailing by just another 116 runs and took the advantage against shaky batting and bowling performance from India. Woah!!! That was really close. Umpire's call saves Rishabh Pant. Once again a superb in-swinger from Kyle Jamieson and Pant plays down the wrong line. The ball hits the front pad and the Kiwis camp goes up in appeal once again. On-field umpire rules not out. Kane Williamson opts for the review!!! Ball tracking confirms that the ball was just clipping the leg stump. Umpire call prevails. Pant survives!!!

OUT!!! A big blow for India right at the start of Day 3. New Zealand's lanky pacer Kyle Jamieson traps India skipper Virat Kohli right in front of the stumps. Huge appeal from Kiwis camp and umpire raises his finger straightaway. Kohli opts for the review but it goes in favour of the New Zealand team. Ball-tracking confirms that the delivery was hitting the leg stump. Kohli walks back for 44, without scoring a run on Day 3. IND 149/4

I think if we get anything above 300, it'll be a really competitive score for us. I got off to a really good start, but I would've loved to score fifty or more. The conditions were against us when we were put into bat but I think we did well. At the end it's all about scoring runs, so it was important to have intent to score runs when given the opportunity. Whenever we played Ranji in the north of India, where the ball seams, it's quite similar to England, so I'm used to coming down the track to seamers. I don't think I could've done much about that ball (that dismissed me) because it was an inswinger but it seamed away after that. Virat Kohli has been an idol to me and an inspiration to so many Indians. He's been someone who has revolutionized Indian cricket and he's an inspiration to me and the rest of the Indian side.
