India vs England 3rd Test Day 2 Highlights: England 423/8 at stumps, lead by 345 runs

England lost five wickets but added 125 runs in the final session as their lead swelled to 345 at stumps on Day 2 of the Headingley Test. Joe Root's third consecutive ton highlighted the day as England got to a commanding 423 for eight at close of play. That's it! Lunch on Day 2. A decent session for India as they get rid of the England openers. 62 runs scored in the session by the England batsmen. Mohammed Shami completes the final over before the break. India will be relieved by the two wickets they got in the session but they still have a long way to go in the Test. In-form Joe Root (14*) is in the middle alongside returning Dawid Malan (27*). England lead by 104 runs at the break.

Takes the top of the off stump of Hameed. A solid knock from Hameed finally comes to an end. ENG 159/2 after 63 overs, lead by 81 runs.

Finally, breakthrough for India! After waiting of the last 50 overs, India get rid of the frustrating opening stand. Mohammed Shami, from around the wicket, produces a special delivery. It nips back in sharply and takes the top of the off stump of Rory Burns. Played down the wrong line and Burns pays the price for it. He walks back after scoring 61. ENG 135/1 after 50 overs, lead by 57 runs
