We are gonna bat first. Looks like a good wicket. Good pitch, sun is out, better to bat first. Recovered pretty well, had a couple of hits before getting into this game. We know the scheduling, we got to have the understanding. We are making him (Arshdeep) play, the other guys will have their chance. Arshdeep has done well in the IPL, looks an exciting prospect.
TOSS - The coin goes up and lands in favour of India. They will BAT first.
PITCH REPORT - Graeme Swann says that it looks a very good wicket. There won't be much seam movement but the pace will play a key role. This ground has one of the largest boundaries.
With Virat Kohli expected to be back at number three from game two, Deepak Hooda will be aiming for another match-winning effort to keep himself in the mix. With a century and 47 not out against Ireland, Hooda has certainly made it tougher for the team management to keep him out of the eleven. The uncapped duo of Rahul Tripathi and Arshdeep Singh have not been included for second and third T20 and it is unlikely they will get a look in on Thursday.
