A bumper from Hardik Pandya and Jason Roy goes for the pull shot. Mistimes and hits it straight to Suryakumar Yadav in the deep. Dangerman Roy is disappointed with himself as he walks back for 40. ENG 66/3

A pretty decent comeback from Shardul Thakur after getting hit for a six on the third ball of his over. Finishes it off giving away 8 runs. Rahul Chahar comes into the attack for the first time. England 56/1 after 7 overs

A colossal strike from Dawid Malan off Shardul Thakur. Length ball from Thakur, Malan clears his front leg and slams the ball wide off long-off to collect his first six of the match. A cracking shot from world's current no.1 T20 batsman. ENG 56/1

An easy couple of runs for Dawid Malan down the leg side and England get to the 50-run mark in 6.1 overs.

A boundary to end the first over from Washington Sundar. Turns out to be a pretty expensive over as Sundar leaks 17 runs in it including 2 fours and a six. Shardul Thakur comes back into the attack.

Slammed straight down the ground! Too full from Sundar on that occasion and Roy wasted no time on that one. Clubs it straight down the ground to collect his first maximum.

Jason Roy gets down to one knee and sweeps Sundar over the in-field. Puts the ball in the gap and collects four runs.

This time a boundary for Jason Roy over the short third-man fielder. Once again Roy throws his bat at the ball. Thick outside edge and the ball comfortably clears the in-field and races to the fence.
