NEW DELHI: India's pace man Arshdeep Singh lost his radar somewhat on Thursday during the second T20I against South Africa in New Chandigarh.
In the 11th over of the South African innings, the left-arm fast bowler bowled not one, two, or three but seven wides in a single over.
With a set Quinton de Kock on the strike Arshdeep Singh tried to bowl wide yorkers, but failed drastically in his attempt and bowled six wides on the off side, and one on the leg side.
Meanwhile, the Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir looked furious at Arshdeep as he bowled a 13-ball over.
Arshdeep gave away 18 runs in the over.
Earlier, India skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to bowl against South Africa in the second T20I here on Thursday.
India, who lead the five-match series 1-0, are fielding an unchanged playing XI.
South Africa, on the other hand, have made three changes with Reeza Hendricks, George Linde and Ottneil Baartman replacing Tristan Stubbs, Keshav Maharaj and Anrich Nortje.
