It was a good wicket in the first six overs and then it slowed down, but it was fine. I felt the wicket was behaving a bit slower, the spinners were bowling well. 160 was good enough to defend, but a close game. I am just doing all those stuff I have worked with. It's helping me right now, so I think I should continue that. I didn't think about it (Super Over) but Williamson played fantastic. He played a really good knock. Axar bowled really well in the Super Over. I wasn't there, I knew Shikhar bhai and Pant would go for sure because Rashid was going to bowl for sure. So, they wanted Pant and Shikhi to go and hit.

It was a thrilling game and shouldn't have gone to the Super Over. We should have won it easily, but we made few mistakes but that's part of the journey. I feel that the two boundaries which Avesh got hit, we should have contained them. But, it's part of the game. We were dominating the game whole time, shouldn't have let it go that way in the end. It was very tough to bat specially after the powerplay, turning and holding. Kane Williamson played a good knock, he's a champion player and he always shows his class. It's good to win the game in the end. We made it quite thrilling going to the Super Over and chasing it down. Those little things make a huge impact, I am glad that David didn't complete that run, we got the edge over that and we ended up winning the game. Absolutely, looking forward for it (Ahmedabad) and glad that the wicket's going to be a bit more better than this one. We are playing nice as a team. We are not depending on one player.

- Acting captain for Delhi Capitals Shikhar Dhawan

It has been a tough one. The way our bowlers came back after the powerplay was fantastic. We knew on this surface if you got off to a flier it is always going to be tough in the middle, the bowlers executed well. I thought Vijay, who is not one of our strike bowlers, bowled fantastically, could have bowled him an extra one, that's the handiness of having him in the middle but the bowlers got us to a good total to chase. Obviously Jonny at the top of the order and Kane taking it deep, we couldn't bat well in the middle overs. It depends on the selectors, it was a harsh call as per my opinion (On leaving out Manish Pandey). But at the end of the day it is a decision that they took and you cannot discredit Virat, he's a very good player and the surface was difficult. They bowled well in the middle and made it challenging for us. If you hit the ball to a world class fielder, you are going to get run out 9 times out of 10 (about his run out).

- Losing captain David Warner

IT IS A TIE! You would have expected Rabada to defend 15 but that is not the case! His side has not lost but we are in for a Super Over!

00:11 (IST), Apr, 26

Take a bow, Kane Williamson! You have played a gem of an innings. Bairstow did provide a good start but Williamson was outstanding. He kept losing partners at the other end but kept on going. He got some support right at the end from Suchith but he has been the main man for Hyderabad.

Williamson 66 in vain as Delhi beat Sunrisers via a Super Over

Kane Williamson's valiant 66 not out took the game into the Super Over but Delhi Capitals emerged on top in a thrilling finish to end their Chennai leg with a win. Chasing 160 on a tricky Chepauk track, the entire SRH middle order struggled for runs as Williamson fought a lone battle. With 16 needed in the final over, Williamson and Jagadeesha Suchith could only muster 15 as the IPL 2021 got its first Super Over after a tie. In the Super Over, Sunrisers once again could only add 7 runs which Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant chased down on the last ball. With the victory, Delhi rose to the second spot in the points table while Sunrisers are at the seventh spot with four defeats and a sloe victory.
