NEW DELHI: On the eve of the IPL 2025 clash between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, a lighthearted moment stole the spotlight.
MI shared a heartwarming video featuring their former captain Rohit Sharma catching up with LSG's all-rounder Shardul Thakur and mentor Zaheer Khan.

Rohit, amused, responded with a grin, "Khudko 'The Lord' bol raha hain."
Without missing a beat, Shardul quipped, "Aur kya? Tune hi rakha hai naam."
Rohit then turned to Zaheer, greeting him with a warm hug, "Mr Khan, how are you man?"
WATCH:The MI-LSG encounter on Friday is a crucial one, with both teams struggling to find consistency after winning just one of their three matches. MI, under Hardik Pandya, have grappled with form issues, particularly in batting. While Ryan Rickelton impressed in their win over KKR, Rohit Sharma's lack of big scores and the absence of Jasprit Bumrah remain concerns.
LSG, just below MI in the standings, have relied on Nicholas Pooran's explosive batting, with Mitchell Marsh providing support. Shardul and Ravi Bishnoi, though, will need to step up with the ball.
