Pakistan vs Bangladesh Highlights, 2nd ODI: Pakistan beat Bangladesh to level series 1-1

Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Score, 2nd ODI: The Pakistan national cricket team delivered a dominant performance to defeat the Bangladesh national cricket team by 128 runs in the second ODI, levelling the three-match series 1-1 and setting up a decisive final game.

Pakistan posted 274 all out in 47.3 overs after being sent in to bat. The innings was powered by a brilliant knock from Maaz Sadaqat, who smashed 75 off just 46 balls, hitting six fours and five sixes. Salman Agha provided strong support with 64 from 62 deliveries, while Mohammad Rizwan contributed a steady 44, helping Pakistan recover after a few middle-order setbacks.

Bangladesh’s chase began poorly as Pakistan’s pace attack struck early. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi removed Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Najmul Hossain Shanto, while Mohammad Wasim Jr dismissed Saif Hassan, leaving the hosts at 15 for 3 inside the opening overs.

Soon after, the match was interrupted by thunder, lightning and rain, resulting in a 133-minute delay. When play resumed, the target was revised under the DLS method, with Bangladesh needing 243 runs from 32 overs.

However, Pakistan’s bowlers kept up the pressure. Maaz Sadaqat, already the star with the bat, shone with the ball as well, picking up three key wickets with his left-arm spin. Fast bowler Haris Rauf, who came into the side for Abrar Ahmed, also claimed three wickets to dismantle Bangladesh’s lower order.

The only resistance came from Litton Das, who top-scored with 41, and Towhid Hridoy, who made 28, but once their partnership was broken, Bangladesh’s batting quickly collapsed.

The hosts were eventually bowled out for 114 in 23.3 overs, the same score Pakistan had managed in the first ODI defeat.

Pakistan’s comprehensive win ensures the series is now level at 1-1, with everything to play for in the decider on March 15.

However, Afif Hossain from the deep is lightning fast to get to the ball before Rishad, and seeing that Ashraf sends his partner back, and Samad gets stranded in the middle of the pitch. Mehidy Hasan Miraz to Mohammad Rizwan, OUT! SALMAN AGHA IS RUN OUT! A huge moment in the game and a controversial one as well. Mehidy Hasan Miraz drops it short and on middle, Mohammad Rizwan punches it down the pitch. Mehidy moves to his right but Salman Agha gets in his way and the ball hits the non-striker's pad and stops. Agha bends down to pick up the ball and give it to the bowler, but before he can do that, Mehidy quickly grabs the ball and throws it at the stumps, with Agha standing out of his crease. There is an appeal for a run out, and even though Agha is not happy about it, the on-field umpire has to go upstairs. The replay shows that the batter is outside his crease and 'OUT' flashes on the big screen. Bangladesh were well within their rights to appeal for this, but the spirit of the game certainly takes a hit here. Salman is fuming, throws his gloves on the ground but he has to walk back here, and the big 109-run stand is broken now.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh Highlights, 2nd ODI: The Pakistan national cricket team bounced back strongly in the second ODI, defeating the Bangladesh national cricket team by 128 runs to level the three-match series 1-1.

Pakistan first posted 274 all out in 47.3 overs, thanks largely to an explosive 75 off 46 balls from Maaz Sadaqat and a solid 64 from Salman Agha. Wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan also chipped in with 44, helping Pakistan build a competitive total after being put in to bat.

Bangladesh’s chase was disrupted early as Pakistan’s fast bowlers struck quickly. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi set the tone by dismissing Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Najmul Hossain Shanto, while Mohammad Wasim Jr removed Saif Hassan, leaving the hosts struggling inside the powerplay.

Thunder, lightning and heavy rain then halted the match for over two hours, forcing officials to reduce the second innings to 32 overs with a revised DLS target of 243.

When play resumed, Pakistan’s bowlers dominated. Maaz Sadaqat produced an impressive spell of left-arm spin to claim three wickets, capping off an excellent all-round performance. Haris Rauf, who replaced Abrar Ahmed in the XI, also picked up three wickets.

Despite some resistance from Litton Das (41) and Towhid Hridoy (28), Bangladesh collapsed to 114 all out in 23.3 overs.

The comprehensive victory sets up an exciting series decider on March 15.
