Everything announced at PlayStation State of Play June 2026
Sony’s PlayStation State of Play June 2026 was one of the most packed showcases in recent memory. It covered everything from long-awaited sequels to surprise new IPs.
It kicked off with Marvel's Wolverine and closed with a brand-new God of War game. State of Play gave PlayStation fans plenty of reasons to be excited about the rest of 2026 and also 2027.
Here are all the announcements made at the PlayStation State of Play:
State of Play’s main highlight was arguably Marvel's Wolverine. The showcase provided a new look at Insomniac Games' upcoming solo adventure.
In the new gameplay trailer, we were delighted with Logan's ferocious combat style, which is quite faster and more violent than the Spider-Man games. It also had a character reveal for Jean Grey, who teams up with Wolverine to take down the Reavers. Pre-orders for the upcoming title have gone live, with the game launching September 15.
The showcase's biggest surprise was God of War Laugey. Santa Monica Studio revealed the game towards the end, and sent the gaming community in a frenzy.
It is set to be the next mainline entry in the franchise and follows Faye, Kratos' late wife. You will essentially have to play as her as she fights through the afterlife of the gods to save the ones she loves. The title is going to be an exciting new direction for the series, and was easily the most talked-about announcement of the night.
You will end up taking control of Dylan as have to navigate impossible architecture and battle monstrous entities. A story trailer also teased the return of Jesse Faden.
The show was filled with more reveals beyond the headliners. Listed below are details about them:
