Forza Horizon 6 release date and timings for all regions, how to pre-load on Xbox and PC

One of the most anticipated racing games in years is almost here, and Forza Horizon 6 is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam on May 19, 2026. Early Access for Premium Edition players is going to start four days earlier on May 15, enabling them to experience the game a few days earlier.

How to pre-load Forza Horizon 6

Xbox

• Navigate to My Games and Apps on your Xbox console and locate Forza Horizon 6.
• Select the preload option to begin your download.
• Once the servers go live, you will notice that the Play button has been activated.

PC

• Head over to the Forza Horizon 6 store page on Steam.
• If you have pre-purchased the game already, you can see the preload option live now.
• Click the preload option, and the download will begin.

Alternatively, Game Pass subscribers can pre-load through the Xbox app on PC.
Xbox downloads are listed at around 135 GB, while PC downloads are over 160 GB. As a result, you will need sufficient storage for the game.
