As of now, Wuthering Waves is available on Android, iOS, and PS5. But on April 29, 2025, this open world action RPG title is coming on Steam as well, the day when the 2.3 update will be live as well.
Amidst the excitement regarding the upcoming update, the announcement of this epic collaboration has taken the excitement to a whole new level for sure. Wuthering Waves X Cyberpunk Edgerunners collab set for a 2026 launch
It was previously announced that
Kuro Games would be hosting an exclusive live-stream on April 19, which would reveal the upcoming major content of the Version 2.3 update. But who knew that at the very end of the livestream, Kuro Games would also announce an epic collaboration between Wuthering Waves and Cyberpunk Edgerunners, which is going to be released in 2026.
For those who don’t know, Cyberpunk Edgerunners is a popular anime on Netflix, based on the universe of the highly popular CD Projekt Red title, Cyberpunk 2077. This series was animated by Japanese animation studio Trigger and CD Projekt Red itself and was released in 2022. As this anime is set a year before the antiques of Cyberpunk 2077, it serves as a prequel of the game.
As a Gacha game, Wuthering Waves is bound to bring new content consistently, and what’s a better way to do that than collaborating with other franchises. This crossover marks the first collaboration of Wuthering Waves, whereas the CD Projekt Red title has already shaken its hands with Fortnite and Guilty Gear Strive.
Talking about the in-game content based on the collaboration, we don’t have any further information except the release year. But as per speculations, we might get to see popular Edgerunners characters like David, Lucy or Maine as guest characters in Wuthering Waves.
