Everton vs Liverpool Highlights, Premier League 2022-23: Everton, Liverpool play out a 0-0 draw at Goodison Park

VAR was centre of attention once more as Everton were denied a second-half winner in a feisty 0-0 draw with Merseyside rivals Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday. Both sides hit the woodwork in the first half at Goodison Park, with Tom Davies denied by the upright for Everton, before Darwin Nunez and Luiz Diaz both saw efforts come out off the frame of the goal for the visitors.

Captain Henderson ruled out

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been ruled out of the Merseyside derby away to Everton today due to a hamstring injury but forward Diogo Jota could return, manager Juergen Klopp said. Henderson was forced off with the injury during the second half of their 2-1 win over Newcastle United on Wednesday, while Jota has had a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
