Liverpool FC legends, both past and present, have come together to mark the launch of the Reds’ highly anticipated new home and away kits, created in collaboration with new club partner adidas. The renewed partnership between Liverpool FC and adidas—two global sporting powerhouses—was confirmed in March. Now, supporters finally get their first official look at the new kits and can purchase them.
Current stars such as Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Curtis Jones, and Ceri Holland appear in a whimsical Alice in Wonderland-themed launch video, joined by club icons including Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Robbie Fowler, and Jamie Carragher.
This marks the third era in which LFC has worn adidas' iconic three stripes—first between 1985 and 1996, and again from 2006 to 2012—each period delivering landmark moments, including three top-flight league titles and three FA Cup victories, all accompanied by memorable kits.
The latest kit collection blends adidas' advanced performance technology with a strong nod to LFC’s heritage, offering a reimagined vision of what it means to wear the Liver bird.
Both jerseys will be available in short-sleeve and long-sleeve options, offering fans more variety than ever.
The new home shirt presents a clean all-red look, highlighted by crisp white adidas stripes along the sleeves and a modern crew-neck collar.
The away kit takes inspiration from classic LFC away designs, with an off-white base and striking black and red accents. The Liver bird emblem sits within a shield, echoing the shape of Anfield’s Main Stand from 1906.
Ben Latty, chief commercial officer at LFC, said: "This is more than just the launch of a new kit – it marks the beginning of a 10-year relationship for LFC and adidas. Since announcing the partnership in March, there's been a huge sense of anticipation and excitement. This first collection sets the tone for seasons to come."
Sam Handy, GM at adidas Football, added: "The return of adidas to Liverpool FC is a momentous occasion for us. Seeing our iconic three stripes adorning Liverpool FC kits again is something we're incredibly proud of.
"The home jersey is a true representation of the Liverpool DNA – classy and understated – while the away jersey pays homage to the club's rich history. I speak on behalf of everyone at adidas when I say this is just the start of an incredible journey and we're extremely excited for what's to come."
The men's team will debut the home kit during their pre-season double-header at Anfield against Athletic Club on Monday, while the new away kit will feature in the FA Community Shield clash with Crystal Palace on August 10.
Liverpool FC Women will wear the away kit in their pre-season fixture against Aston Villa on August 9, and the home kit the following weekend during their match against Durham at the AXA Melwood Training Centre.
