Europa League final, Manchester United vs Villarreal Score: Villarreal beat Man United 11-10 on penalties

Cavani continued his goal-scoring spree and scored the all-important equaliser for Manchester United. Shaw’s delivery from the corner was headed away but it landed in front of Fernandes. United skipper's volley though was blocked and deflected to Cavani, who rolled it into the empty net. Villarreal keeper Rulli had already dived to save Fernandes’s volley. It's game on!

Gerard Moreno's goal just inside the half-hour mark of the contest gave Villarreal a slight advantage going into the halftime break as they lead Manchester United 1-0. It was their only attempt on goal in the first 45 minutes of play.
