Jeddah E-Prix 2026 Round 5: Antonio Felix da Costa triumphs in Jeddah, Sebastien Buemi and Oliver Rowland complete podium

It was Mahindra Racing’s Edoardo Mortara who secured pole position for the second consecutive time, but Saturday was Antonio Felix da Costa’s day as he claimed his first victory with his new team, Jaguar TCS Racing. Da Costa started from third place on the grid and managed to secure his first victory of the season after a winless Season 11. He was followed by Envision Racing’s Sebastien Buemi in second and Nissan’s Oliver Rowland in third.

Jeddah E-Prix Round 5 results

Antonio Felix da Costa made perfect use of Attack Mode feature to claim victory at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on Saturday. It was Sebastien Buemi’s first podium of the season as he finished second, while Oliver Rowland claimed his third podium of the season by finishing third in Jeddah.

Polesitter Mortara missed out on the podium in part two of the Jeddah doubleheader by finishing fourth. He had claimed second place on the podium a day earlier on Friday. As a result, he moved up to second in the Drivers’ Standings with 62 points. He is now just six points behind Pascal Wehrlein, who holds first place with 68 points after his Friday win.

Cupra Kiro driver Dan Ticktum finished fifth in Jeddah on Saturday, joined by teammate Pepe Marti in sixth. Marti also recorded the fastest lap of Round 5 at 1:17.508.

Mitch Evans, who celebrated on the podium after finishing third in Round 4 the day before, ended up in seventh position in Round 5. Pascal Wehrlein followed him in eighth after claiming victory on Friday.

DS Penske’s Jean-Eric Vergne finished ninth, and Taylor Barnard was tenth.

The Round 5 race also featured selected social media influencers in the garage as they geared up for the special Formula E Evo Session on Sunday. Comedian Khaby Lame was spotted watching the race from the Nissan garage a day before he takes to the GEN3 Evo to compete with other social media influencers in a fun race.

While Mortara claimed pole on both days of the Jeddah doubleheader, his teammate Nyck de Vries had multiple penalties. De Vries received several penalties for changing car parts overnight. He will also have to serve a 10-second stop-and-go penalty in the pit lane.
