Miami E-Prix 2026: Preview, schedule, race timings and where to watch Formula E Season 12 Round 3
All eyes are now on Miami in Florida, for the Formula E Season 12 Round 3 race. The drivers are excited to try out their GEN3 Evo cars on the new circuit, the Miami International Autodrome, with very little track data available to help shape their strategies. The event will begin with a bonus Rookie Free Practice on Friday and conclude with the final race on Saturday, with rain expected to play a major role. While Pascal Wehrlein won the race last year, it is Nick Cassidy who is currently in top form heading into the weekend. Here’s everything you need to know about race timings, broadcast details, and the weather forecast for the Miami E-Prix.
Full-time Formula E drivers will begin their preparations later in the evening with Free Practice 1 (FP1) at 5:00 p.m. local time (3:30 a.m. IST). Free Practice 2 (FP2) will be held the following morning at 7:30 a.m. local time (6:00 p.m. IST) and will last around 55 minutes.
Qualifying will begin at 9:40 a.m. local time (8:10 p.m. IST) and will take a little over an hour to determine the grid for the final race. The Round 3 race in Miami will start at 2:05 p.m. local time (12:35 a.m. IST on February 2).

On race day, drivers may have to deal with heavy rain during the first half of the day, with a possibility of light drizzle during the race itself. Temperatures are expected to range between 16–18°C (61–64°F).
At present, Nick Cassidy and reigning champion Oliver Rowland are in strong form and could stake a claim for a podium finish in Miami. It remains to be seen whether familiar faces will return to the podium or if a new name will shine in Round 3.
Off the track, fans will also have plenty to enjoy, as Grammy-nominated Puerto Rican singer Farruko is set to perform live at the Miami E-Prix event.
