Carlos Sainz misses Barcelona Test

Carlos Sainz was one of the few drivers who did not take part in the private five-day Barcelona shakedown, as his new Williams car was not ready in time. The team finally unveiled their FW48 on Tuesday and will carry out testing during the two scheduled sessions in Bahrain. The 2026 Formula One season will begin on March 8 with the Australian Grand Prix.

Sainz claimed two podium finishes last year, in Azerbaijan and at the Qatar Grand Prix, and finished ninth in the F1 World Championship with 64 points.
