The video quickly caught attention online, as Tate mixed humor with a reminder of the serious investigation he faced in 2024 when Romanian authorities searched his home.

In the video, Andrew Tate speaks directly to the camera while Afroman’s song plays in the background. He says, “They raided Afroman’s house for kidnapping, just like me, and there’s no victim! Why didn’t I make a song?” He continues laughing and adds, “The crooked cops hit me with the same kidnapping, and there’s no victims… This is the best song ever.”

Tate is referring to a 2024 incident when Romania’s organized crime agency, DIICOT, searched his home. He and his brother Tristan Tate were taken to the agency’s office in Bucharest for questioning. When reporters asked why they were there, Andrew Tate said he did not know, then smiled and called it his “favorite place.”

At the time, their lawyer Eugene Vidineac said he had not yet seen the full case file, but he did not expect the brothers to be held for more than 24 hours. While officials did not clearly explain every detail then, Tate’s recent comments suggest the search was linked to kidnapping suspicions.

Afroman wins legal case after Lemon Pound Cake song goes viral

Andrew Tate’s video comes at a time when Afroman is gaining attention for winning a legal battle connected to the same song. The rapper created Lemon Pound Cake after police searched his home in Ohio in 2022 during a drug and kidnapping investigation.

Afroman used security camera footage from that search in his music video. One moment that stood out showed an officer looking at a cake in his kitchen, which later inspired the song’s title.

After the song was released, several officers sued Afroman for defamation. They claimed the video caused them embarrassment, stress, and damage to their reputation, and they asked for $3.9 million in damages.

This week, Afroman won the case after telling the court that the raid was based on a mistake. The decision helped push the song even further into the spotlight, which likely led to Andrew Tate discovering and reacting to it.
