Aryna Sabalenka fiancé Georgios Frangulis addresses critics questioning his presence during her tennis matches

There has been a lot of talk around Aryna Sabalenka and her fiancé Georgios Frangulis. Many fans have noticed him sitting in the stands during her matches, and not everyone has been supportive. Some people even questioned how he manages his business while attending so many games. Now, Georgios has finally responded, and his message was very direct.

In a video shared by the Money Buys Happiness podcast on Instagram, Georgios made it clear that he is not bothered by the criticism. He spoke openly about his relationship and how they support each other. At the same time, he also pushed back at people who keep judging his choices and his presence during Sabalenka’s matches.

Aryna Sabalenka and Georgios Frangulis started dating in 2024, and earlier this year, they announced their engagement. Since then, Georgios has often been seen in her player box during big matches. While many fans enjoy seeing that support, others have raised questions about his work and time.

Georgios Frangulis addressed this directly in his statement. He said, “For me to have someone that I love that trusts me and looks up to me. I can teach and learn from, with my fiancé. With Aryna it’s all upside. I don’t see any downside.”

He then spoke about the criticism he receives and how he handles his work. He explained that watching matches does not stop him from managing his responsibilities. He said, “Believe me I get criticism. How can he run the company. He’s always watching tennis. You see me on TV and I am watching tennis. It’s a two-hour match. Like I was doing a meeting before I’m gonna do another after. Not your business what I am doing.”

Georgios Frangulis also praised Aryna Sabalenka’s success and their shared understanding. He added, “She’s super accomplished. We can enjoy each other’s success, help each other’s failures.”

On the other side, Sabalenka has also spoken about how important this relationship is for her. In an interview with Esquire, she shared a simple lesson she has learned. She said, “You see that each area of life takes the same dedication, discipline, and hard work.”

While all this is happening off the court, Sabalenka’s form on the court has been strong. She started the season by winning the Brisbane International and then reached the final of the Australian Open. She later completed the Sunshine Double by winning both Indian Wells and the Miami Open, beating top players like Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff.

She was set to play at the Stuttgart Open but pulled out due to an injury picked up in Miami. Even so, both her performance and her personal life continue to stay in the spotlight.
