Breezy Noble Johnson, on February 8, 2026, won Olympic gold in women’s downhill at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. Breezy Johnson became only the second American woman ever to achieve that, sixteen years after Lindsey Vonn did it in Vancouver. She races with aggression and fearlessness; rather than skiing defensively, she attacks courses. This strategy has led to spectacular successes and painful wrecks, both inevitable in downhill skiing. According to
Biography Wallah, Breezy’s estimated net worth is between $500,000 and $1 million as of early 2026.
Breezy Johnson's early life
Breezy Johnson was born to Greg Johnson and Heather Noble on January 19, 1996, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Her parents called her Breanna during the first two years of her life. Greg Johnson grew up in New Hampshire and was an alpine racer himself before becoming a construction supervisor. When Breezy was a toddler, the family moved to Victor, Idaho, where Greg taught her and her elder brother Finn how to ski in their driveway. Her mother, Heather Noble, was originally from Washington, D.C., and worked as an attorney.
At the age of 5, she began skiing at the Jackson Hole Ski Mountain Resort and raced for the Jackson Hole Ski Club until age 13.
At 13, she moved from Victor to Salt Lake City, Utah, to enroll at Rowmark Ski Academy, a boarding school that offers academics with top-tier ski training. Her parents supported the decision because they recognized her dedication. She graduated from Rowland Hall St. Mark's in 2013 and enrolled at Western Washington University to major in English.

Breezy made a comeback in January 2020 and achieved her first World Cup podium in December 2020 at Val d’Isère, France. By early 2022, she was ranked No. 2 in the world in downhill, setting herself up for Olympic success in Beijing.
During a training run in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, the same venue that would host the 2026 Olympics, Breezy launched off the Duca d’Aosta jump at 72 miles per hour. The injury forced her withdrawal from Beijing, as her Olympic dream slipped away.
