Jake Paul recently updated fans about his condition on X. “God is great. Broken jaw, but brain and spine all clear. Never been more motivated. Merry Christmas to all around the world. Never stop trying to be great. You are guaranteed 100% failure if you don’t try”, he wrote. His message quickly went viral and drew responses from fans, critics, and fellow fighters.

Conor McGregor was among those who replied. The former UFC champion used humor while taking a clear jab at Paul’s injury. “Indeed! God is great! Enjoy your Christmas smoothies bro,” McGregor wrote. The comment referred to Paul’s broken jaw, which has reportedly forced him onto a liquid-only diet during recovery.

Anthony Joshua’s knockout punch fractured Paul’s jaw in two places. Paul later confirmed the damage by sharing X-ray images online. A broken jaw usually requires four to six weeks for basic healing. In some cases, full recovery takes upto several months. This injury comes after Paul fought twice this year, continuing his push to be taken seriously as a boxer.

Meanwhile, former world champion George Groves has floated an unusual idea. He suggested a mixed-rules fight between Paul and McGregor. Groves believes the bout should last nine rounds and include boxing, wrestling, and bare-knuckle fighting. “It could be a boxing match for the first three rounds, then a wrestling match, and then just bare-knuckle for the last three. I make Jake Paul the favorite,” Groves said.

While such a fight seems unlikely for now, the reactions and comments have kept fans talking.
